ayu2 designs is a fun and exciting line of jewelry, influenced by the latest fashion trends, that could be worn as fashionably everyday as it could be for formal events.
The designer and founder of ayu2 designs, Ayu Takahashi-Tu, was born in Tokyo and became enchanted by the fashion industry at an early age, greatly influenced by her mother who manages a boutique in Japan and her great aunt, a renowned Japanese enamel artist. After graduating from university, Ayu worked for an advertising agency and started studying the craft of metalworking. It was at this time that she began to envision entering the world of jewelry with her own collection.
Ayu started a side-business under the brand name of ayu ayu, selling her original creations at a few select stores through direct sales. Later, deciding to expand her knowledge of the fashion industry, Ayu came to the United States to study at New York's Parsons's School Of Design and obtained her degree in Fashion Marketing. Following this, Ayu took a hiatus from the industry to get married and start a family.
In 2006, Ayu resumed her dream of creating her own line and shortly after, in February of 2007, ayu2 designs was founded.
