Determining Ring Size

  1. Get a at least 4 inches long string, a ruler and a marker (or pencil) and decide which finger to measure.
  2. Measure the broadest section of your finger.  If the joint of your finger is thicker than the base of your finger, measure at the joint.
  3. Wrap the string around your finger.  The string should be a little snug.
  4. Using the marker, mark the overlapping point on the string.
  5. After removing the string from your finger, you should notice two marks on the string.
  6. Measure the length between these two marks and locate your corresponding ring size on the chart.

Obtaining the Correct Size

Individual differences aside, size may increase as much as by one quarter to one half sizes during summer as opposed to winter.  Also, depending on the time of day, there maybe some swelling causing a change in the measurement.  Therefore, we suggest that you measure your finger in the morning and evening and take an average of the two lengths for a more precise measurement.

For wider, thicker rings we recommend that you select a slightly larger size.

Measuring on your own means you will only be free to use one hand, therefore, we suggest that you ask someone for assistance to obtain a more accurate measurement.

Note: For beaded rings, please allow for a slight difference in the size, due to stone size and in keeping overall designs balance.
